‘Seven Pounds’

‘Seven Pounds’ Will Smith gives an outstanding performance in this complex, sometimes convoluted film about . . . sorry, can’t say. Director Gabriele Muccino goes to great lengths to keep the goings on secret. Fair to say it’s about love, loss and redemption, but mostly it’s about Smith, who’s able to carry the drama with conviction. (PG-13 - 123 minutes) S.
