La Piazza Al Forno, 4 stars

La Piazza Al Forno has been turning out wood-fired pizza and pasta in Glendale's historic district since 2007. It has received much acclaim, great customer response and was featured on the Food Network's ''Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.''

Calico Jack’s Cantina, 3 stars

Calico Jack's at Westgate City Center is a gringo-ized Mexican restaurant, a sort of theme-park version of Mexican cuisine. Come for the atmosphere and the location, the pretty patio, the beer.

Zendejas Grill, 2 stars

The Zendejas name is legendary in Arizona football. But that good name is being abused by poor attention to food preparation that could easily be remedied. On that, Zendejas Grill fumbles.

The Grind, 3.5 stars

The Grind - named recently by "Bon Appetit" as one of the top 10 must-try burger joints in the country - is a terrific addition to the Arcadia neighborhood. The burgers are architectural, piled high and narrow, and very satisfying.

Off Da’ Hook, 2.5 stars

If you're in the neighborhood and have got to have it, you'll find warm, friendly service and enough rib-sticking fare to keep your engine running

Kimberly Ann’s Victorian Tea Room, 3.5 stars

If you've never enjoyed proper tea, you and your friends deserve an experience that will make you feel you're wearing big straw hats and heading to the races at Ascot.

Sutra Fine Indian Cuisine, 4 stars

Check out Goodyear's Sutra the next time you're craving something slightly exotic, flavors you don't experience every day, foods you can't get at that place on the corner that is like every other place on the corner. Eating here is like riding a very friendly tiger.

Culver’s, 3 stars

With a wide-ranging menu that covers everything from fish to beef to hot dogs to salads, Culver's beats other quick-serve restaurants with more choices and comparable prices.

Little Saigon, 3 stars

Little Saigon continues to be destination dining for downtown Glendale. The food is just exotic enough to be exciting but familiar enough to promise comfort food to anyone.
